I started CrossFit 904 in mid-2011 with the goal of helping people of all ability levels reach their fullest fitness potential. I have been amazed at the changes I have seen people make. Although anyone can do CrossFit, CrossFit is not for everyone. You must be willing to push yourself, physically and mentally, unlike you have probably ever done before.
I have had the pleasure of helping many people lose significant weight, recover from injuries, and become better athletes. I am obsessed with human movement and mobility which has allowed me to help members improve their everyday quality of life by working through what they previously saw as limitations. Bad backs, bad knees, and bad shoulders are a common theme. My goal is to help you fix these problems while getting in the best shape of your life.
If you are ready to make a change, or reach that next level, then let’s talk. For those competitive CrossFitters out there, I am also obsessed with technique and efficiency. I’ve recently been given the nickname Form Whisperer because of my ability to quickly breakdown and correct all movements. I found CrossFit in the fall of 2014. I had enjoyed watching the CrossFit games for a couple years previously but had the mentality that it was something fun to watch, but surely something out of my reach. I was a distance runner and in my opinion in great shape.
In 2014 after a move I found myself lonely and missing a sense of community and belonging. After driving past a CrossFit on my way to the store I decided on a whim to try it out. I wish I could tell you that I crushed my first workout…or even remembered what it was. All I remember was I came to the abrupt revelation that I was not in as great of shape as I had thought. The other and probably most prominent thing I remember about the first day were the people, women specifically, that I was surrounded by. All shapes, sizes, abilities, and ages. The one thing all these women shared was their strength. I was so impressed and I had to have what they had!
Since then I’ve moved several more times but in every new place I’ve had a built-in CrossFit family. As a coach that is one of the areas I am most passionate about. To me CrossFit is about pushing myself daily to be the best version of myself possible. CrossFit isn’t something I’m planning to do just in my 20’s but something I plan on doing for the rest of my life.

I began CrossFit in September of 2015. I grew up playing sports and worked out in a ‘globo’ gym environment starting in High School. While in school for exercise science of students and Professors alike were cautious of promoting CrossFit, I even completed research studying the effects of CrossFit’s famous workout ‘Grace’. As a personal trainer, I felt I should stay away from the CrossFit style and do what was comfortable, regardless of its effectiveness.
Always being overweight growing up, frustrated with not making progress, and tired of writing my own workouts, I decided it was time to do something different and challenging. I took the plunge and tried out CrossFit. After my first workout, I was hooked. Not only was the intensity of the workout what I was looking for; but I felt a sense of community and belonging I had never felt, or was seeking, in a gym environment.
CrossFit has helped me get to my healthiest weight, become the strongest I’ve ever been, and be in my best shape. It mentally got me through graduate school, and has helped me develop friendships that I know will last a lifetime. To me, CrossFit embodies holistic health; it is about pushing myself everyday not only to my physical limits, but also to my mental limits. As a coach, I am thankful for the opportunity to build a community of like-minded people and help others find their true potential while reaching their goals, no matter where they are in their healthy lifestyle journey.

I’ve always had a passion for fitness and health. It all started in high school. I had off season workouts for football and baseball and realized I loved training for my sports more than actually playing the games. I remember waking up at 5am many mornings to get in a workout before school started. After a short college football career, due to injury, I joined a globo gym because that’s all I knew. I just wanted to lift weights and get big! After about a year and a half of learning everything I could about bodybuilding style training and nutrition, I got bored. I wanted to get back into training for something more meaningful.
I first discovered CrossFit in 2015. I was surfing through YouTube and came across videos of Rich Froning and Mat Fraser competing against each other in workouts. I thought to myself, “Wow! Working out is a sport now? I’d love to do that!” So in May of 2015, I decided to give CrossFit a try. My first workout was with CF 904’s owner Josh and I’ve been hooked ever since.
After about a year, I talked to Josh about becoming a coach because I was obsessed with CrossFit and I wanted to share my knowledge with our awesome members.
What makes CrossFit so special is the community. When I was working out at a globo gym, I never talked to anyone and only focused on getting in and out of there. Here at CrossFit904, everyone is so friendly and genuinely cares about how your day is going. You get more than just a great workout, you get lifelong relationships.
I come in each day trying to create the best version of myself and part of that is becoming a better coach. I want to ensure each member has a great workout and spends their best hour of the day at CF904.

When I was first introduced to CrossFit by my husband I didn’t understand it. At the time, I was highly vested in endurance sports, mainly marathons and triathlons. I didn’t think that a 5, 10, or even 20 minute “met-con” would ever suffice for me. It wasn’t until I left my job as a personal trainer and started a teaching career that I thought I should give CrossFit a try. I had always supplemented my endurance training with weight training and yoga but I found that I didn’t have enough time in the day to get in all my workouts. So in 2011 I started CrossFit and over the last four years I have completely changed my training mentality, my energy levels and my nutrition.
As a coach, I hope to motivate and encourage all levels of athletes but I specifically love working with newcomers to the sport. I enjoy teaching new skills, movements, and exercises and watching the athletes put in the hard work and reap the rewards on a daily basis. Helping an athlete hit a PR or push through 5 more reps before time is called and then watching them walk away with their head held high is inspiring to me not only as a coach but also as an athlete myself.

I started Crossfit in the spring of 2015 after getting bored with my normal gym routine. I was looking for someone or something to kick my butt, and boy did I find it. My competitive nature had me hooked and I was definitely coming back for more. Fast forward two plus years, I still get amped for a workout, but I find myself enjoying the journey that Crossfit takes you on even more. There is always a movement to learn, strength to build, or technique to perfect. Throw in a community of people who care about your wellbeing and know when you need an inappropriate joke to lighten your mood and you realize Crossfit has become much more than a workout, but instead an major part of your life.
What I have come to realize is that Crossfit is so much more than a score on a leaderboard. It’s about the effort one puts in. The best athlete for the day is the one who shows up, gives the workout their all, and pushes themselves outside of their comfort zone. As a coach, I hope to instill this way of thinking into all of our athletes.
