Saturday, October 21st: Director’s Cut
Our owner, Josh, loves Halloween. So the Director’s Cut occurs on a Saturday in October. This two person (Guy/Guy or Girl/Girl) event is meant to see who is both physically, and mentally, prepared. The movements are announced previously to the event but the actual layout of the events are announced on competition day. Only the director knows the script! You must be prepared for anything!
August 26th: MOBILITY SEMINAR
So what is mobility anyway? If you ask a three different CrossFitters, I bet you will get three different answers. In times of confusion like that it best to refer to the resident expert – in this case it’s Dr. Kelly Starrett of San Fransico CrossFit and Mobilitly WOD.
He says, “Mobility is a movement-based integrated full-body approach that addresses all the elements that limit movement and performance including short and tight muscles, soft tissue restriction, joint capsule restriction, motor control problems, joint range of motion dysfunction, and neural dynamic issues. In short, mobilization is a tool to globally address movement and performance problems.
If that definition didn’t help, come to our seminar where Owner and Head Coach Joshua Krehbiel will break down what mobility is, why it’s important, and how it can benefit you as an athlete.
August 20th: BEACH WOD
The last BEACH WOD was so much fun we thought we would get another one in before the summer is gone!
Let’s take our fitness outside with a fun beach WOD followed by some community building. The WOD will kick off at 9am at Mickler’s Beach, but plan to stay after for some surfing, beach games, and food. Bring your favorite picnic lunch! Friends and family are welcome and encouraged!!!
